Aflux is built around a bring-your-own storage model — your files stay in the cloud provider you already use, and Aflux connects to them directly without copying or migrating anything to Aflux servers. Whether you send a bulk email campaign, collect e-signatures, or attach a document to a QR code, you always work with the original file sitting in your own storage.

Why Bring-Your-Own Storage?

Most document platforms silently copy your files into their own storage, creating duplicates you can’t manage and raising questions about who actually owns your data. Aflux takes a different approach:
  • Files stay yours. Aflux reads and writes to your storage provider via a secure OAuth connection. Nothing is copied to Aflux infrastructure.
  • No migration required. Connect an existing Google Drive folder and start using your files immediately — no upload step.
  • Real-time sync. Because Aflux always references the live file in your storage, any update you make in Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox is reflected instantly across all Aflux modules.
  • Disconnect at any time. Revoking the Aflux connection from your storage provider immediately removes Aflux’s access. Your files are unaffected.

How Integrations Work

When you connect a storage provider, Aflux requests a limited OAuth token that allows it to read and write only the files and folders you explicitly grant access to. Aflux never stores your OAuth credentials — only a short-lived refresh token used to maintain the connection. All traffic between Aflux and your storage provider is encrypted over TLS. Once connected, a storage provider appears as a file source inside each Aflux module. You can browse folders, select files, and attach them to email campaigns, signature requests, or QR codes without leaving the Aflux dashboard.

Connection Limits by Plan

The number of storage integrations you can connect simultaneously depends on your plan:
Internal Storage is always available on every plan and does not count toward your integration limit.
