Connecting Google Drive lets you browse, select, and use your Drive files inside every Aflux module — no uploading or duplicating required. When you attach a Drive file to an email campaign or a signature request, Aflux references the original file in your Drive in real time, so your documents stay exactly where they already live.

What the Google Drive Integration Does

Once connected, Google Drive appears as a file source throughout the Aflux interface. You can:
  • Bulk Email — attach Drive files as downloadable links or embedded content in email campaigns
  • E-Signature — send a Drive-hosted PDF directly for signing; the signed copy is saved back to the same Drive folder
  • QR Codes — point a QR code at any Drive file or folder; Aflux tracks scans without touching the file
Aflux requests read and write access only to the specific files and folders you select — not to your entire Drive.

Prerequisites

  • A Google account (personal or Workspace)
  • An Aflux account on any plan (Free, Pro, Business, or Enterprise)
  • Pop-ups allowed in your browser for app.aflux.io (required for the Google OAuth window)

Connect Google Drive

1

Open Integrations settings

Log in to app.aflux.io and navigate to Settings → Integrations → Cloud Storage.
2

Start the connection

Click Connect Google Drive. A Google OAuth window opens in a new pop-up.
3

Choose your Google account

Select the Google account you want to connect, or sign in if you are not already authenticated with Google in your browser.
4

Review and grant permissions

Google displays the permissions Aflux is requesting (see the Permissions section below). Click Allow to continue.
5

Confirm the connection

The pop-up closes and Google Drive appears as Connected under Cloud Storage in your Aflux settings. You can now select Drive files from within any Aflux module.

Permissions Aflux Requests

Aflux requests the minimum Google Drive scopes needed to deliver the integration:
Aflux does not request access to your full Google Drive. The picker grants access only to the files and folders you select during each session.

Use Drive Files in Each Module

When composing a campaign in the drag-and-drop editor, click Insert → File from Cloud Storage, choose Google Drive, and browse to the file you want to attach. Aflux generates a secure, trackable link to the file — recipients click through to the live Drive file.

Disconnect Google Drive

To remove the Google Drive integration:
  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Cloud Storage.
  2. Click the ··· menu next to Google Drive and select Disconnect.
  3. Confirm the disconnection in the dialog.
Disconnecting removes Aflux’s access token. Any QR codes, email campaigns, or signature requests that reference Drive files will lose access to those files until you reconnect.
If you revoke Aflux’s permissions directly from your Google Account security settings, the integration disconnects immediately without any warning in Aflux. Re-connect from Settings → Integrations → Cloud Storage to restore access.

Troubleshooting

This usually means the file is owned by a different Google account or a shared Drive you do not have edit access to. Check the sharing settings on the file in Google Drive and ensure your connected Google account has at least Viewer access (or Editor access if Aflux needs to save a signed copy back).
Your browser is blocking the OAuth pop-up. Allow pop-ups from app.aflux.io in your browser settings, then click Connect Google Drive again.
Google OAuth tokens expire if the connection is inactive for an extended period or if you changed your Google account password. Go to Settings → Integrations → Cloud Storage, click Reconnect next to Google Drive, and complete the OAuth flow again.
Disconnect the current account (Settings → Integrations → Cloud Storage → ··· → Disconnect) and reconnect with the correct account. Make sure you are signed in to the right Google account in your browser before clicking Connect Google Drive.
